Elephants’ trunks are big and strong.

Zebras’ stripes are black and white.

Parrots’ feathers are so bright!

Monkeys’ faces are very funny.

Past Simple

There was a young lady from Niger

Who smiled as she rode on a tiger.

They returned from the ride

With the lady inside.

And the smile on the face of the tiger.

 

Georgie Porgie, pudding and pie,

Kissed the girls and made them cry.

When the boys came out to play,

Georgie Porgie ran away.

 

Proverbs in the Present Simple

A rolling stone gathers no moss.

A bad workman blames his tools.

Every cloud has a silver lining.

The early bird catches the worm.
