Street, Building 10, or "Number 10", as it is called in Britain - one
of the most famous addresses in the world, as it was the home of the British
prime minister since
House No. 10 was originally given to the first Prime Minister, Sir Robert
Walpole, as a gift. But he wanted all future prime ministers lived in it.
Although, before he moved here, he has attached to his house in 10 Downing
Street behind the big house and made some changes. Therefore, even if the house
number 10 looks from the outside like an ordinary terraced house, but inside
the house looks very big. There are many beautiful rooms with elegant décor and
modern furniture including dining State, study, terracotta and white living
room. Portraits of every Prime Minister hangs on the wall of the main staircase
in the office, where the ministers meet to discuss important issues. The table
in this room is made in the shape of a boat, so the prime minister can always
see sitting around! Private house of the Prime Minister is furnished apartment on the second floor, once described Margaret Thatcher (British Prime Minister from 1979-1990) as "a housing above the store."
